Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Paw ID (the "Service"), including this website and the Paw ID mobile app. By creating an account or using Paw ID, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Paw ID is

Paw ID lets you keep a digital health carnet for your pets, set care reminders, track weight over time, generate share links or a lost-pet QR code, and chat with an AI assistant about your pet's history.

2. The AI assistant is not veterinary advice

Paw ID's AI assistant is a tool to help you organize information and prepare questions — it is not a veterinarian, does not diagnose conditions, and its responses are not medical or veterinary advice. The assistant's answers are generated based on the information in your pet's profile and general knowledge, and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for anything related to your pet's health, diagnosis, treatment, medication, or an emergency. Never delay seeking veterinary care because of something the AI assistant told you.

3. Your account

You need an account to use most of Paw ID. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter about yourself and your pets, and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know at hello@paw-id.com.mx if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paw ID offers a free plan with limited pets, reminders, and AI chat messages, and a paid "Plus" plan that removes those limits.
• Plus subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (via RevenueCat) on the plan and interval you select (e.g., monthly or annual).
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before it renews. You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies, since they process the payment.
• We may change subscription pricing going forward; we'll give notice before any change affects your existing subscription.

5. Your content

You own the information and photos you add to Paw ID about yourself and your pets. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, sending relevant parts of it to our AI provider to answer your questions, or displaying it on a share link you generate.

Sharing links and lost-pet QR codes are visible to anyone who has the link or scans the code. You're responsible for deciding what to include in them and who you share them with.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Paw ID for any unlawful purpose or to harm others.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to bypass usage limits.
• Use the AI assistant to generate content unrelated to pet care, or in a way that violates applicable law.

7. Termination

You can stop using Paw ID and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@paw-id.com.mx. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that reminders will always fire, that the AI assistant will be accurate or available, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paw ID is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including harm to your pet resulting from reliance on information provided through the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Paw ID evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
